DUCTED CENTRAL HEATING

CHECK AND MAKE SURE 70% OF AIR VENT’S ARE OPEN THROUGHOUT THE PREMISES, AND NOTHING IS BLOCKING THE VENTS

HELPS WITH AIRFLOW, PREVENTS ADVERSE PRESSURE AND RESISTANCE ON THE SUPPLY AIR FAN, WHICH CAN CAUSE THE UNIT TO BECOME FAULTY OVER TIME. REDUCES OPERATING NOISE

DUCTED CENTRAL HEATING

REPLACE BATTERIES IN THE UNIT’S THERMOSTAT (CONTROLS)

IF THE SCREEN STARTS TO FADE, THIS IS A GOOD INDICATION THE BATTERIES NEED REPLACING

FIRST STEP IF THE THERMOSTAT ISN’T WORKING

DUCTED CENTRAL HEATING

NOTICING AN ERROR CODE ON THE UNIT’S THERMOSTAT (CONTROLS)

IF SAFELY ACCESSIBLE, SWITCH THE UNIT OFF AT THE POWER OUTLET (GPO) FOR 5 MINUTE’S, THEN SWITCH THE UNIT BACK ON AND TRY TO RE-START IT

GENERALLY SWITCHING THE UNIT OFF AND ON AGAIN RESOLVE’S RANDOM ERROR’S

HOT WATER SERVICE

HELPFUL HINT: ENSURE ACCESS TO THE SWITCHBOARD IS ALWAYS UNOBSTRUCTED

TESTING THE OPERATION OF RESIDUAL CURRENT DEVICES (RCD’S) IN THE SWITCHBOARD EVERY 6 MONTHS

OPEN THE SWITCHBOARD, PRESS THE TEST BUTTON ON EACH RCD WHICH SHOULD TRIP THE RCD CUTTING POWER TO THE CIRCUIT. IF ANY OF THE RCD’S DO NOT TRIP THERE MAY BE A FAULT

RCD’S CUT POWER TO THE ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT IF IT BECOMES OVERLOADED, MITGATING OPPORTUNITY TO GET AN ELECTRIC SHOCK.  CHECK THE RCD’S ARE OPERATIONAL THROUGHOUT THE YEAR TO ENSURE THEY ARE OPERATING CORRECTLY

  2. GO BACK TO THE SWITCHBOARD AND FIND THE RCD THAT IS IN THE OFF POSITION AND SWITCH IT TO THE ON POSITION (IF THIS DOES NOT RESET, THERE IS A POTENTIAL FAULT)

  3. WITH THE RCD IN THE ON POSITION, ONE BY ONE, REPLUG THE APPLIANCE INTO THE POWER OUTLET (GPO) AND SWITCH ON

  4. IF THE POWER RCD TRIPS ONCE MORE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DETERMINE WHICH APPLIANCE IS POTENTIALLY CAUSING THE FAULT IN THE RCD

REPLACE BATTERIES IN THE UNIT’S REMOTE CONTROL

IF THE SCREEN STARTS TO FADE THIS IS A GOOD INDICATION THE BATTERIES NEED REPLACING

PREVENT THE NEED FOR CALLOUT’S TO THE PROPERTY

AIR CONDITIONER
HELPFUL HINT: WHERE POSSIBLE AVOID RUNNING TOO MANY APPLIANCE’S AT THE SAME TIME, THIS CAN CAUSE FAULT’S
