Energy Safe Victoria (ESV) maintain that Landlords share a responsibility to ensure the gas & electrical supply are safe for use in rented premises. As an extension of the Residential Tenancies Act 1997 requiring landlords to ensure rented accommodation is maintained in “good repair”.
